I don’t really get this site…these are not correct translations.
They’re not even close.
The above says something along the lines of “The world has only one most precious child. And every mother knows him.”
NOTHING to do with Lenin.

And they are clearly NOT sleeping with vigor. They display false consciousness even in their unconscious state.
Humour is a sign of intelligence. If you can’t see that these are jokes, well…

This is awesome, why are people unable to see that these are obviously mistranslated that’s what makes it FUNNY!

Because this a site run by non-Russians for non-Russians… it would be totally different if people were laughing at themselves.
Imagine these captions were in another language, and the mistranslations made use of crude stereotypes. I could come up with 5 languages of the top of my head where this site would immediately be deemed offensive… For example, if the captions were in Arabic, and the translations had any kind of fundamentalist Islamic themes… people would find it unacceptable.
But it’s acceptable to make fun of Russians.
Boy, there’s a lot of you in here eager to equate the relentless beating of a horse two decades dead to a display of intelligence. Fail.

Why is everyone complaining? These translations aren’t bad.
For truly bad translations you can simply turn on the World News on CNN.

As for the non-Russian speakers: These translations are dead on.

First the jokes aren’t aimed at “Russians” per se, but communists. It turns out though that Russians were once communists! I know some of you dullards from our sad US educational system might not know that though, so I forgive your ignorance. I am also aware that our system has been guiding you towards the idea the communism is good.
Not to worry though! It probably won’t be long before we have our very own re-education camps here in the US!
