Have strength, my little cabbage. By the mercy of NKVD Order No. 00447, we have been chosen for Resettlement.
We will show the tin mines of Kolyma the true power of the proletariat.

I read your blog for quite a long time and should tell you that your articles are always valuable to readers.
This is definitely a favorite for me. :D
MQDuck: You understand they are actually fighting not hugging, right?
Okay, this photo is just stupidly cute.Unbelievably cute.
"We, ugly Americans, sure do love to laugh - so long as its @ others’ expense. Someone hx0rz this site already. Lame."Really? I didn't realize some people were so humorless.
@asd:That's the point. Go google yourself some 00447.

Shouldn't that be "proletaricat"?
I may be wrong, but Kolyma mines were gold mines, and only GULAG workers were working there, no one was being resettled there.
This website is magnificent and honours the memory of comrade Brezhnev. You must all come to my dasha where we will sit afront the fire, drink potato vodka and reminisce about Minsk.

This website is fantastic. Fact.
Yeewuu, armpit humor! It's a good thing there isn't an Internet capabilty for inserting farts; these Russian cat posts have been violated by Homer Simpson!
Correct translation:"If you've invited a girl to dance, don't be happy, you'll still have to dance with her first."
I am fluent in both Russian and Kat, psychically fluent, so stop being boorish. The translations are purrfect. Eat your borscht.
Oh so, so perfect. I'm going to have to refer to loved ones as "little cabbage" from now on.
So wonderful.
It is apparent that the many commenters who insist that the captions are not a correct translation, are too post-Soviet to have learned how to read between the lines.Let me tell you--that was true reading, comrades!
That's not what that says, tovarish! The westerners lie.
